High River, Alberta – On Friday February 5th, 2016 at approximately 10:40 a.m, the High River RCMP responded to a complaint of an armed robbery at the Summerset Carwash on the corner of 5th Street and 7th Ave, S.E.
A 32 year old male had gone to the carwash to wash his boat. While there he was approached by 2 males who were inquiring about his boat. At one point, one of the males put the victim into a headlock. A third male entered the wash bay and demanded the victim’s keys at gun point. One of these males then got into the pickup truck and left the area. The others are believed to have fled the area in a charcoal coloured Ford F-350 pickup. This Ford is also believed to have black fender flares, after market chromed rims, and is believed to be a 2008 -2010 model.
The four or possibly five offenders were described as First Nations, all wearing dark clothing and ranging in heights from 5′ 9″ to 6″. One may have been wearing a dark red plaid jacket.
The boat was later located abandoned in an alley between 6 and 7th Avenues off of 1st Street S.E. A description of the missing truck is a 2011 Blue Dodge 2500 quad cab pickup truck with chrome running boards and a tonneau cover – Alberta plate JAP-054.
