Crowsnest Pass, AB – On 2015-06-20 at 6:00 P.M., Crowsnest Pass Detachment members were dispatched to a single vehicle ATV Collision on remote trail in the Dutch Creek area (north of Crowsnest Pass). Crowsnest Pass Fire and Emergency services along with, STARS, also attended to assist.
Investigators determined a southbound side by side ATV, with four occupants, left a remote trail, rolled several times down a steep embankment. As a result of the injuries, Emergency Services transported a 2 year old male passenger via ground ambulance to Calgary Children’s Hospital, where he is being treated for his injuries.
The driver of the ATV , a 33 year old male from Okotoks, Alberta, was transported by STARS with life threatening injuries, where he later succumbed to his injuries, and died on 2015-06-21.
The remaining two passengers were treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Alcohol was not a factor in the ATV collision.
Name of deceased will not be released at this time, Crowsnest Pass RCMP are continuing the investigation.
