RCMP Cochrane Assist to Identify
Cochrane RCMP are looking for assistance to identify a suspect involved in a theft of motor vehicle and fraudulent use of a credit card.
On 2015-11-25, a motor vehicle was stolen from the Big Hill Leisure Pool parking lot in Cochrane, AB; along with the victim’s cell phone and credit cards. The suspect then used the stolen credit cards at the Calgary Crowfoot Coop. Since this incident both the vehicle and the cell phone have been recovered.
Surveillance video was obtained of the suspect using the stolen credit cards along with photos that the suspect took of himself on the victim’s cell phone.
Cochrane RCMP are seeking assistance in identifying the suspect from these photos.

Cochrane RCMP investigating man fataly injured in altercation on Stony Nakoda First Nation
Stony Nakoda Nation, AB – On December 16, 2015, A 28 year old Stony Nakoda Nation man was transported to hospital with critical injuries after a physical altercation with another male from the Nation. The two men had been celebrating earlier in the evening and had a disagreement. Alberta Emergency Medical Services (EMS) attended and the victim was transported via Stars Air Ambulance to hospital in Calgary.
The victim has since succumbed to his injuries while in hospital. An autopsy was scheduled for this morning at the Medical Examiner’s Office in Calgary.
The investigation is continuing with the assistance of the RCMP Serious Crimes Branch. No additional information will be provided by police at this time.
