At 5:00am, on October 16, 2015, Cochrane RCMP responded to a complaint of a single vehicle roll over just west of the Morley Road overpass on the Trans Canada Highway approximately 50 kilometers west of Calgary. Police found a fully loaded semi truck and trailer had left the road way and was on its side in the center median. The semi truck was west bound at the time of the roll over and there was only one occupant in the semi truck who was transported to hospital via ground ambulance in non life threatening condition. Alcohol is not a factor in this rollover.
Cochrane RCMP would like to advise motorists traveling west bound on the Trans Canada Highway that traffic is down to one lane at the scene of this roll over as the semi truck is partially blocking the west bound passing lane. Please slow down and use caution when passing this collision scene. Volken Stevin and Cochrane RCMP will be on scene for the next few hours removing this semi and trailer from the roadway.
