Cochrane RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Karen ROY age 41, who was last seen at the Little Elbow Campground, on June 1st at 1030 pm. Karen is Caucasian,170 cm tall, 68 kg, with Short Brown hair and brown eyes. Her 2013 Sliver Dodge Caravan was found in the campground with her two Labrador dogs inside. Cochrane and Kananaskis RCMP members, RCMP Police Dog Services , Kananaskis Emergency Services, and Cochrane Search and Rescue have been conducting a ground search since Thursday June 2, at 1100 am , when Alberta Conservation Officers located the van. RCMP do not suspect foul play at this time, but they are requesting the public assistance for anyone that may have seen Karen Roy at the Campground or surrounding area.
The RCMP are continuing the Search today.
At approximately 1330 hrs, Karen ROY was located alive and uninjured on Highway 66 at the entrance to the Little Elbow Campground. She indicated that she had gone on a hike in the area and gotten lost.
