This morning, at 8:39am, Cochrane RCMP were called to the underpass of Hermitage Road and Highway 1 where a witness travelling on Hermitage Road came upon two males who appeared to have had assaulted another male. The witness believed this male had been seriously assaulted and injured. The witness drove away to a safe location and called police. Once police arrived on scene forensic evidence indicative of a serious assault was located in the underpass of Hermitage Road and Highway 1 which is approximately 15 kilometers west of Cochrane. The victim of the assault and the males seen by the witness had departed and are believed to have headed east on Highway 1. Investigator’s are looking for a grey 4 door car which was involved in this investigation.
Cochrane RCMP continue to investigate this matter and are asking anyone with any information about the identities of the victim or suspects contact either Cochrane RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
