RCMP Cochrane – Drug Seizure Leads to Charge for Saskatchewan Male


Cochrane RCMP - IMG_1738Cochrane Alberta – On January 22, 2015 a concerned citizen reported what they believed was an impaired driver to the RCMP. Officers located the vehicle and immediately began an investigation into what turned out to be an illegal possession of a controlled substance. A search of the suspect’s vehicle produced 5.5 pounds of marihuana that was hidden in a suitcase. This amount of marihuana has an approximate street value of $23,000. A 24 year of male from Regina Saskatchewan has been charged with trafficking a controlled substance and is awaiting court in Cochrane.

The RCMP would like to thank the citizens who report suspicious activity and possible impaired drivers to the detachment.
