Brooks, Alberta – Sometime on December 27th, 2015, between 2 pm and 5 pm, approximately 350 joints of 2 7/8 inch tubing was stolen from a Cenovus wellsite off of Antelope Creek Road, SW 29-18-15-W4. The tubing is 231.29 inches long with oranges caps on both ends. A darker Ford or Dodge pickup was witnessed, no decals hauling a goose neck trailer with tubing on it as well as a 1 ton Maroon/Wine colored Ford Truck with black rims pulling a car trailer loaded with tubes. The tubing is used in the oil and gas industry but also can be used to build carrels for livestock and fencing. Value of the tubes stolen is approximately $48,000. The Brooks RCMP is requesting the assistance of the public to recover the stolen item and identify the person(s) responsible for the theft.
