Beaumont, Alberta – Beaumont RCMP are advising that today, at approximately 7:30 a.m., Leonard Labonté of Beaumont was found deceased north of Nisku on a remote service road by a worker from a nearby industrial park. The specific cause of death has yet to be determined but there are no indications of foul play. The 82 year old deceased was located near his vehicle and was in an area not known to have any connection to the missing male. There had been an active search on going for the missing man that included supplemental RCMP members, RCMP Air Services, Rural Crime Watch and other local area volunteer support.
Investigation into the exact cause of death is continuing and at this time it is not known if the medical status of the deceased is a contributing factor.
