RCMP Alberta – Victim identified in Tsuu T’ina Nation homicide

Tsuu T’ina Nation, Alberta – On March 10, 2015 RCMP ‘K” Division Major Crimes -South took carriage of the homicide investigation of an 18 year old Calgary man who was found on the Tsuu T’ina Nation on March 7, 2015.

The victim has been identified as Brando Walker and this matter remains under investigation.

tsuu-t-ina-nation-police-serviceOn March 7, 2015, at approximately 5:00 P.M., The Tsuu T’ina Nation Police Service were notified by two individuals who were fishing at the Elbow River near the Weaselhead Bridge that they had discovered a body near the river.  Tsuu T’ina Nation Police Service officers attended the area, located a partially burned body and confirmed the individual was deceased.  Investigators with the RCMP “K” Division Major Crimes Unit – South were requested by Tsuu T’ina Nation Police Service to assist with the investigation.  On March 9, 2015 the Calgary Medical Examiner’s Officer conducted a post-mortem examination on the body of the deceased and confirmed the death was the result of a homicide.

The victim was identified as an 18 year old male from Calgary, AB.
