Airdrie, AB – The RCMP has confirmed that the vehicle fire attended by police and the local fire department in the rural area of Airdrie early Friday morning contained the body of one person. No other descriptors are available of the person at this time, but the Major Crimes investigators in charge of the case now believe this person is the victim of a homicide.
A positive identification of the body will not be possible until the results of an autopsy are conducted early next week. At that time, further details will be available and released.
