Airdrie, Alberta – Airdrie RCMP are seeking assistance from the public to identify a suspect in an attempted theft at the Sierra Springs Liquor Store.
On 17 August, 2014, at approximately 9:00 pm, a male entered the Sierra Springs Liquor Store. The male selected a bottle of cognac valued at $1000.00, and placed it on the counter near the exit. The male then browsed the store for 45 minutes.
The male attempted to leave the store unnoticed, picking up the bottle on his way out. The store clerk remotely locked the door preventing the male from leaving. The clerk was able to convince the male to place the bottle back down, at which point the clerk released the door and allowed the male to leave.
