RCMP Airdrie – Fraudulent Bills Passed, Seeking Assistance to Identify Suspect


 

Airdrie, Alberta – On November 9th, 2015, at 2:40 pm, a male entered the Co-op Grocery Store on Main Street in Airdrie.

The male selected a small value item and paid with a $50.00 bill. The male then exited the store and entered the Co-op Gas Bar across the parking lot.

The male again paid for a small value item with another $50.00 bill.

Employees discovered shortly after that both bills had the same serial number and were fraudulent.

RCMP was contacted, the bills and video surveillance were provided.

Suspect is described as;

  • Male
  • Late 20’s to Early 30’s
  • Approximately 5’10
  • Short, dark hair
  • Wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and a brown or scarf or bandanna worn around the neck.
