Public Transporation Could Be Coming To Us in 2016

OnItThe Town of Okotoks, in collaboration with the Calgary Regional Partnership (CRP), will see public transportation come to Okotoks in September 2016.

The two-year public transit pilot project, called On-It Calgary Regional Transit Services, will also serve Black Diamond, High River, Nanton and Turner Valley.

The service will go to the Somerset Bridlewood LRT Station in Calgary every morning, with return trips in the evening.

The CRP received the go-ahead from its member municipalities on September 18th, 2015 giving the project approval to move forward.

The next step is for each of the participating individual town councils to vote to pass the initiative this fall.
