Energy Minister Margaret McCuaig-Boyd traveled to Houston, Texas this week, to promote investment in Alberta’s oil and gas industry during a major U.S. energy conference.
While attending CERAWeek from March 4 to 7, Minister McCuaig-Boyd met with potential investors about value-added opportunities in Alberta’s downstream sector. She also participated in a panel session on the growth of energy development in Western Canada, discussing the important actions Alberta is taking to grow production and attract new investment while reducing emissions.
“Alberta has a tremendous story to tell, and I’m proud to share it with investors from around the world. We’re blessed with some of the richest oil and gas resources in North America, and we’re building on our strengths to secure Alberta’s energy future through diversification. Combined with our actions to support private investment in oil and gas processing and petrochemical manufacturing, I’m looking forward to showcasing why Alberta is the best place to invest and do business.”
