October 01, 2014 – Premier Jim Prentice announced that high-profile community advocate Emma May is the new Executive Director of the Premier’s Southern Alberta office at McDougall Centre.
Ms. May is the co-founder of a successful real estate brokerage, former corporate lawyer, active community advocate and volunteer. Many Albertans will recognize Ms. May from her prominent role as president of the Calgary River Communities Action Group. Her role as Executive Director of the Southern Alberta office begins immediately.
“Ms. May is a passionate advocate with strong community connections in Calgary and across Southern Alberta. Her impressive, action-focused leadership after the 2013 floods served Albertans well and impressed me. Alberta is under new management and Ms. May is a perfect fit for my new team.”

The Premier promised a government with new leadership, new voices, and a new way of doing things in Alberta. Ms. May will help the Premier to deliver on this commitment as she revitalizes the government’s Southern Alberta office.
“McDougall Centre will be a hub of government outreach and community activity in downtown Calgary. I understand the importance of hearing from Albertans and Ms. May’s most important task is to ensure my Southern Alberta office provides Albertans with a direct line into government.”
