Emerson Lake to be restocked with fish

The Government of Alberta, in conjunction with the Alberta Conservation Association, will soon be restocking Emerson Lake with fish.

The lake will be restocked with:

  • 600 Brown Trout the first week of May
  • 2,500 Rainbow Trout by May Long Weekend

Please note that a valid Alberta sportfishing license is required to fish at Emerson Lake.

George Lane Park campground to reopen May 1. To book a reservation call 403-652-2529 starting April 15, 2015 anytime after 10a.m.

Little Britches is Back for the May Long Weekend

Saturday, May 16 – Annual Little Britches Parade starting at 10 a.m. The theme this year is New Beginnings.

May 16 – Gitters Critters live entertainment will play and sing at the Museum of the Highwood during the Parade from 12 – 2 p.m. Click here for more information

May 16 – River of Music Festival – Immediately after the Parade there will be street buskers and bands set up for performances in the downtown district that will continue throughout the afternoon. Click here for more information
