High River, AB: Pets will now need to wait outside at Town of High River facilities and buildings. The new rules reflect the Town’s consideration for individuals with allergies and for the safety of everyone who works or visits a Town facility.
Hitching posts for dogs have been installed at the Joint Municipal Building, Operations shop and at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex so owners can safely leave their pets while they are in the building.
The Town provides welcoming facilities for all members of the public and is sensitive to the needs of those with animal-related allergies, concerns or sensitivities. Providing a location where dogs can be tethered outside offers a safe location so owners can still bring their pets with them while they go about their business.
Staff appreciate the public’s cooperation in providing a safe and welcoming environment in Town facilities.
