August 26, at the Highwood Memorial Centre
High River, AB: Learn all about the different High River parks related projects that are in the works and on the list for remediation and reconstruction at the ‘drop in’ Information Session Tuesday, August 26, 2014. The session will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Highwood Memorial Centre. The Information Session will be a display style format so that residents can drop in at a time that is convenient for them.
The Town of High River has 45 projects listed as a result of the assessment that was completed this past spring to assess damage caused by the 2013 June flood event. The projects include work to remediate or reconstruct parks, green spaces, boulevards, and areas around ponds and lakes. A broad mixture of landscaped environments is planned for the community including naturalized areas, mowed grass areas, and flowers and plantings.
The Town encourages residents to come out and see the pictures, drawings and maps of the many projects including:
- George Lane Memorial Park
- Birchwood Park
- Naturalized landscape designs
- Landscape design for diking vegetation
- And more…
Staff will be on hand to answer questions. Plan to stop in and see the designs and plans.
