Olds RCMP investigation determines no animal abuse took place


Olds, Alberta – On January 14th, 2016, Olds RCMP received a complaint of a truck being operated in a dangerous manner, the report suggested the vehicle was dragging what was thought to be a small animal, from the rear bumper.

With the assistance of the public, the RCMP were able to locate the owner of the vehicle, involved in this incident.

RCMP have charged a 20 year old male from Olds, Alberta with Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle. Wyatt Sawchuk  has been release from custody and is scheduled to make his first court appearance on February 8, 2016 at 9:00 am in Didsbury Provincial Court.

The investigators were also able to determine that no animal abuse took place during this incident.

Olds RCMP would like to thank the public and those who came forward with crucial information that led to the arrest and subsequent charge in this matter.
