Olds RCMP Investigate Attempted Robbery of Our Flames Lounge

 

Olds, AB:  RCMP are investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred on February 4, 2016 at about 9:45 PM at the “Our Flames Lounge” in Olds, Alberta.  The suspect was initially reported to have used a sawed off shot gun however witness accounts suggest the weapon used is an air gun. Members from Olds and Didsbury converged on the area but no suspect was located.

The suspect entered the lounge that had several patrons in attendance.  The suspect demanded cash however the staff member did not comply with the demand resulting in the suspect turning and fleeing the scene.  No one was harmed during the incident.  The suspect exited onto 50 Avenue and is believed to have run North toward Highway 27 (46 Street).  Olds RCMP detachment continue to investigate this matter and are actively pursuing all leads however would like anyone who was in the vicinity at the time to come forward with any information that may assist the investigation.

The suspect is described as:

Caucasian, male, slender build, approximately 6 feet tall, 150 to 160 lbs, wearing a blue hoodie and a black and white mask which concealed the mouth/nose area of his face.
