Southridge Drive

The Town has begun resurfacing portions of Southridge Drive, Hunters Gate and Woodhaven Drive. Work is anticipated to end July 11, 2014 (weather permitting).Road closures will be necessary to accommodate the work. Please see the map below.

The first stage will involve closing the southbound lanes, south of the bridge. During this time, the northbound lanes will operate as two-way traffic to handle traffic flow for both directions.

The second stage will involve closure of the northbound lanes, south of Woodhaven Drive. During this time, the southbound lanes will operate as two-way traffic to handle traffic flow for both directions. This stage will begin Wednesday, July 9 at approximately 6:00am.

Please note:

  • Commercial access to Village Lane (CIBC, Staples, Dairy Queen, etc.): please use Big Rock Trail.
  • Commercial access to Nissan, Subway, Safeway, etc.: please use Woodgate Road.

Construction and detour signage will be in place prior to and during construction.

Traffic flows on Southridge Drive, Hunters Gate, and Woodhaven Drive will be impacted during construction. Traffic flows upstream and downstream of the work areas will also experience delays.

The Town of Okotoks would like to suggest that drivers use alternate routes during the construction period. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and would like to thank you for your patience during construction.

Westridge Road/Drive

Repairs started on the northeast end of Westridge Road at Westridge Drive on Monday, July 7. The work will involve a rebuild of this section of road. It is expected to take 1 week to complete, weather permitting. See map of area below.

Wilson Street (west of Clark Avenue)

The Town began resurfacing the west end of Wilson Street (west of Clark Avenue) on Tuesday, July 8. The work will involve removal of the existing asphalt and re-paving the surface. It is expected to take 1 week to complete, weather permitting. See map of area below.
