Okotoks RCMP Respond to Serious Collision *UPDATE*


Okotoks, Alberta – RCMP are continuing their investigation into a fatal three vehicle collision Wednesday night.

On March 27, 2019 at approximately 9:15 p.m., two pickup trucks and a sedan were involved in a collision on Highway 2-A between 306 Avenue and 322 Avenue north of Okotoks. The driver and lone occupant of one of the pickup trucks, a 32-year-old male from Calgary was pronounced dead on scene. The driver and sole occupant of the other pickup truck, a 32-year-old male was transported to an area hospital in serious condition. The 47-year-old male driver of the sedan was not injured.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation. The investigation is being assisted by an RCMP Collision Re-constructionist. No charges have been laid at this time and the roadway has since re-opened.

Okotoks, Alberta – RCMP and Emergency Services responded to a serious three vehicle collision on Highway 2-A approximately 3 kilometres north of Okotoks last night. Unfortunately one person has died as result of the collision. No further details will be released regarding involved persons or vehicles at this time.
Highway 2A south bound was impassable and traffic was diverted. The north bound lanes remained open.
