Okotoks RCMP and High River highway Patrol are just clearing from the scene of a serious motor vehicle collision in the Southbound lanes of Highway 2 at 370 Avenue (approximately 2 Km North of the Aldersyde overpass). A minivan with 2 occupants was heading East on 370 Avenue; the minivan was struck by Corvette with 2 occupants, as it attempted to cross the Southbound lanes. The occupants of the minivan and the Corvette were all transported via ambulance to the South Campus and Foothills Hospitals in Calgary.
Traffic on Highway 2 was diverted via 338 Avenue East onto Highways 7 and 2A to bypass the crash site, to afford investigators the opportunity to gather evidence and thoroughly examine the scene.
The Scene has now been cleared and Highway 2 has reopened.
