Okotoks RCMP Investigate Suspicious Person

Okotoks, Alberta – On July 22, 2016 Okotoks RCMP investigated a complaint of a suspicious male in his 40’s who approached two children near the playground area of Cimarron Close.  He asked the children what game they were playing and then appeared to have been frightened away after an adult approached the park with a dog. The suspicious male has been described as:

  • Brown/grey beard
  • Medium length black hair with grey patches
  • 5’10” to 5’11” approximately
  • Heavy build

The male left the playground area in a red older truck, estimated to be mid 1990’s. The truck was painted black on the bottom of the body and had paint chipped off all over the body.

Okotoks RCMP reminds parents to keep track of their children’s whereabouts and create a safety strategy when children are approached by strangers.

This matter is still under investigation.
