Okotoks, AB – On Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at approximately 3:00am, Okotoks RCMP received a complaint of two males going through parked vehicles in the Mountain View area of Okotoks. Police responded, locating a vehicle driving in the area and attempted to do a traffic stop resulting in the individuals fleeing from police, and subsequently colliding with a police vehicle. A pursuit ensued with the two male young offenders apprehended in the High River area. No one was injured.
The young offenders are facing multiple charges, including flight from police, assault on a police officer with a weapon, and possession of stolen property.
Both young offenders are being held in custody pending bail hearings.
The investigation is still ongoing.
