Okotoks RCMP would like to remind drivers of the dangers of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and or drugs where the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle gets extremely diminished. The effects of alcohol can include blurred or double vision, impaired attention and slow reflexes. Your life and the lives of others can change forever if you drive after drinking alcohol. Drugs can also impair your ability to drive. This is true for both illegal drugs and prescription or over-the-counter medication.
During the August long weekend there will be a number of check stops conducted throughout Alberta.
