Okotoks Hall of Fame Awards – Call for Nominations


Help nominate the outstanding accomplishments of Okotoks athletes, people in the areas of arts, culture and those who have made long-standing and significant contributions to the community. Inductees will be honoured with a permanent plaque on the Okotoks Hall of Fame wall located at the Okotoks Recreation Centre. Nominations are open February 1 to March 31.

Nomination Categories

Nominations may be made in four (4) different main classifications, with 3 of those classifications having 2 categories within each:

Classification Categories
Sports Athlete & Community Builder
Arts & Culture Artist & Community Builder
Community Service Leader & Community Builder
Award of Distinction

Nominations will be reviewed by the CPR Hall of Fame subcommittee. As many as seven (7) inductees may be selected for induction. There shall be a maximum of two (2) inductees in each classification. These are not necessarily annual awards.

How to Make a Nomination

Nominations may be made online, by e-mail, by courier or can be dropped off prior to the closing date (March 31, 2015).

The Okotoks Hall of Fame is permanently located at the Okotoks Recreation Centre. Inductees will be announced at an awards ceremony on the Spirit of Okotoks Parade Weekend (June 19-20). More details will be announced closer to this date.
