Oilfields Hospital LTC Fundraising Christmas Raffle

If you pop into the Oilfields Hospital you will find a wonderful selection of gift baskets in the lobby. This is a fundraiser for the Rising Sun Long Term Care unit. All it costs is $1 per ticket to enter a draw. You can buy multiple tickets and just drop them into the gift bag in front of the basket(s) you would like to win. Tickets can be purchased from the Administration desk. Some of these baskets are worth over $275! Keep checking back in case a new basket of goodies shows up!

The draws will be held at 3pm on December 10th, the date of the Christmas fundraiser, so they won’t be there long. Plan to attend the annual Christmas fundraiser at the Rising Sun between 10am and 3pm. There will be baking on sale, a silent auction and the draw for these magnificent baskets.

A basket full of lovely scents from Melaleuca has shampoo, lip balm, body wash, spa set and more. The Black Diamond Home Care donated a basket full of games for the family. Fun stuff like Uno, Lego, Monopoly, a jigsaw puzzle and much more. A basket just for ladies features shampoo, nail polish, scarf, foot spa product, chocolate (of course) to name a few. The Warm Fuzzies basket features a lovely “mink” throw, sweater, tea, candles; all that lovely warm stuff put together by some of the hospital support staff! The staff in the Lab went all out with some items for that holiday party: a shooter kit, glasses, Baileys, chocolates with liqueur filling, brandy, etc. There is another basket, donated by the hardworking staff in Housekeeping, of just candy and chocolate that should take you all the way to next Christmas unless you use it to fill all those stockings in your family!

The staff at the Rising Sun put together a wonderful “Creative” basket with scrapbooking supplies, gingerbread house kit, young painters set, pre-school crafts and other fun stuff for the whole family. For the horse in your life there is a basket with a nice leather halter as well as brushes, shampoos and all the things needed to pretty up your pasture pal! The staff in the ER and Acute Care put together a coffee basket including Baileys, cookies, hot chocolate and candies, as well as coffee. Local business, Salus Wellness, donated a certificate for Osteopathic Manual Therapy along with aromatherapy items. There is even a basket with movies, popcorn and other goodies for those family nights at home donated by Movies and Munchies.

One of these gift baskets could make a great Christmas gift and in turn you are helping out a valuable service in our community!IMAG1102
