Drop off your expired or unused medication at Pharmasave in Black Diamond this Saturday!
On Saturday, May 21, 2016, Canadians are reminded of the importance of cleaning out their medicine cabinets and safely disposing of unused and expired medications by returning them to their local pharmacy. Each year, the Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse (CCSA) joins organizations across the country in support of National Prescription Drug Drop-off Day.
Reducing the harms associated with prescription drugs is a priority for CCSA and its many partners. Activities such as National Prescription Drug Drop-off Day provide an opportunity to educate Canadians of the risks and harms of keeping unused medications in their homes, and support the efforts of pharmacists, law enforcement and community leaders on this important health and safety issue.
