Nanton, AB – Yesterday at approximately 11:00 a.m., the Nanton RCMP responded to a report of a two vehicle head-on collision on Highway 22, 1 kilometre south of Highway 533. Upon attending with several EMS ambulances, it was noted that a southbound Dodge Truck with 2 occupants had crossed into the lane of travel of a northbound Mini Van containing 5 occupants. There were no major injuries.
The male driver of the Dodge and female passenger were taken by ambulance to hospital with minor injuries. The occupants of the Mini Van, a male driver, and female passenger with 3 elementary school age children were also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Road conditions were very icy at the time and there are no charges anticipated arising from this collision.
