Club Reporter Ethan Beck
The Millarville Stockland Beef Club held their first meeting of the year on October 8, 2014 at the Millarville Racetrack Hall. Our leaders for this year are Suzon Watkins and Susan Jeffery with the continuous support from our associate leaders, Arlene Visser, PJ Thomson, and Angie Dawson.
At this meeting we elected our executive. This year our president is Danielle Bradish, our Vice President and District Rep. is Travis Tudor. Our Treasurer is Finn Blatz, Secretary is Hunter Egeland, the Historian is Genevieve Moreau, Parliamentarian is Kendra Mackenzie and the Phoning Committee is Martie Blatz and Wyatt Runge.
After the elections, members volunteered to chair many different committees. The Committees take charge and plan the different activities of the year. We have many new members this year to the club and we are looking forward to showing them all the fun our club has to offer.
We are planning to have many different fund raisers this year such as Purdy’s Chocolate, Spolumbos Sausages, and Beef Jerky. If you are interested in any of these fund raisers please let us know.
Everyone’s support will help to make this a very successful year for our 4-H members. We have lots of fun things planned and we are looking forward to another great year. Our next event is “Weigh In” on November 1, 2014.
