Meet the Wildrose Highwood Candidate

We are thrilled to announce and support our Wildrose candidate for Highwood Wayne Anderson.

Wayne was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the youngest of four children.  As a youth he spent his summers working on the family farm in Ericksdale, Manitoba, and later as an auto mechanic, and welder for CP rail yards.

Wayne attended the University of Winnipeg BSc program and spent four years deeply involved in student and University business and local politics. He held the position of treasurer and President for Student Council along with participating on the board of Regents.

Wayne moved to Calgary in 1990 where he met and married Kim in 1995.  They moved to Davisburg in 1997 to enjoy acreage living along with Kim’s son Jerret.

Wayne has spent over twenty years in the information technology industry holding positions in business development and management for major corporations. Wayne was very successful at building relationships and understanding the business challenges of both large enterprise and provincial government to reduce costs and drive efficiencies.

Wayne is a founding member of the Highwood Wildrose Constituency Association and is active on two WRP provincial boards and a federal CPC board. He is firmly committed to the policies and principles of the Wildrose Party and is prepared to represent his constituents and ensure the issues are addressed in a timely manner and serve the best interests of the people in Highwood.
