Alberta Award Winners
Each year, Alberta authors and publishers are recognized through the WGA’s Alberta Literary Awards, the BPAA’s Alberta Book Publishing Awards, and the Alberta Readers’ Choice Award. Join Marigold, the Writers’ Guild of Alberta, and the Book Publishers Association of Alberta as we recognize these amazing Alberta bred books!
About this Travelling Display
The Writers’ Guild of Alberta (WGA) was formed in 1980 to provide a meeting ground and collective voice for all the writers of the province. The WGA helps give Alberta writers a sense of unity and community and is the largest provincial writers’ organization in Canada.
The Book Publishers Association of Alberta (BPAA) is a provincial association of book publishing companies and is one of the strongest communities of regional publishers in North America. Today the BPAA has more than 30 members, many of which are owned and operated in the province of Alberta.
This travelling display includes Alberta award winners and nominees from 2014. Libraries can keep the display for up to six weeks. There are up to 40 books in each display and they are available for lending. Watch for this display in your local Marigold Library. You can always go online and reserve your choice also.
