Macleod Trail Closed at Highway 22X Over Weekend

Between Friday, Feb. 22, at 9 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 23, at 7 a.m., Macleod Trail will be closed to both directions of traffic at the intersection of Highway 22X.

Detours will be in place for travellers in the area. Motorists should plan ahead and consider alternate routes, such as Deerfoot Trail or 37 Street SW in the southwest.

The closure is necessary for the completion of the safe demolition of the old Highway 22X bridge, making way for the future Southwest Calgary Ring Road. Work was delayed at the beginning of February due to extreme cold weather.
