OKOTOKS, AB – Foothills cyclists will be hitting the road starting in Crowsnest Pass up to Bragg Creek to raise funds for a major renovation at Easter Seals Camp Horizon and to enjoy our beautiful region for Ride to Horizon on July 17/18.
“This is a fantastic cause directly helping great people and a great organization right here in our community. Camp Horizon is a special place – it is where I met an inspiring young girl named Elisa and where my nephew Dylan, who suffers from Crohn’s Disease, will be enjoying a week this summer.
“Plus, I can’t think of a better way to bring our communities together than enjoying the sights of our beautiful Eastern slopes.” – John Barlow, MP, Macleod
Easter Seals Camp Horizon is Alberta’s leading outdoor recreation facility for individuals of all abilities. Each year 7,500 individuals enjoy this unique facility. Of these, 1,200 are children and adults with special needs. Easter Seals Camp Horizon is the only facility in Alberta offering camp programs dedicated entirely to special needs groups each week.
