The library is pleased and excited to let you know that Rick Smith, a longstanding member of the Stampede Historical Committee, will give a talk called “The 10 Days of Stampede Madness” in the library. He will be showing awesome pictures, and entertaining us with anecdotes of special moments over the years. It will be on Wednesday, July 8th at 2pm Coffee and donuts will be served.
Also, Joan, our librarian, will be having a “Hang Out At The Library” from July 7th to July 30. Parents and kids can look for future activities, age groups and dates on the website and the library’s notice board.
A light, but very amusing read is Maeve’s Times. After Maeve Binchy’s death, her husband, Gordon Snell, compiled many of her writings and journal entries into this delightful book. They reflect her warmth, humour and keen human interest.
Happy Summer Reading!
