Joan, our librarian, has some very special programs coming up for the children of the Longview School.  The first will be on the 2nd of June and will be for those in kindergarten. On June 9th there will be one for Grades 5 and 6, and on June 10 the program will be for grades 3 and 4. These will be a very happy note on which to end the winter season.
We have some exciting new non-fiction in the library……Mauve Times, by Mauve Binchy. The Moral Case for Fossil Fuel  by Alex Epstein,
Ghost Boy, by Martin Pistorius, and Dead Wake-The Last Crossing of the Lusitiania, by Erik Larson,  and many others.

Sara Gruen, author of “Water For Elephants” has a new novel out called “At The Water’s Edge.” It has a romance, historical fiction and adventure, all wrapped into one. It is about three wealthy, upper-crust Philadelphians and their search for fame by discovering the monster in Loch Ness in Scotland. The story takes place during the Second World War. It is a cautionary tale of what happens when you have too much money. It is a comfort read that you can crawl up with by the fire .

Have a very wonderful summer with lots of good reading! The library hours will be just the same.
