Lions Den: Serving our Foothills Community

Members of the Foothills Lions Club believe in their motto “We Serve”. In the year 2014, members contributed over a 30% increase in volunteer hours over 2013 volunteer hours. Foothills Lions Club members volunteered 11,025.25 hours in 2014 in their communities.

Organizations and events that needed volunteers were diverse. Black Diamond Campground ongoing flood remediation, RCMP Golf Tournament, Lions Family Spray Park Golf Tournament, CLERC (Canadian Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center), Foothills Lions Club Spray Park, Foothills Hospice, Royal Canadian Legion – kitchen & events, Genealogy transcriptions,  Foothills Search & Rescue, Town of Black Diamond Light-Up, Town of Turner Valley – Diamond Valley Starlight Celebration, Placing Remembrance Day Wreath, Diamond Valley Parade and Discovery Days, Turner Valley Triathlon, Beneath the Arch, Valley Neighbours Club, Griffiths Senior Center, Millarville Half Marathon, Millarville Christmas Fair, Heritage Park.
