Library Hosting Second Newcomers Meeting…..it’s just not for those new to our community

Second (in the series of 3) Newcomers Meeting is happening at the Library TONIGHT at 7 pm.

New to Turner Valley/Black Diamond area? Looking for volunteer opportunities or new friends with whom to explore bird watching, hiking, travel, movies or summer outings?

Guest speakers tonight will focus on summer special events such as the Millarville Run, June 6th Diamond Valley Parade Day, and outdoor pursuits, as well as inter-denominational service projects and volunteer opportunities.

Bird Watchers and Travel Group were born from the first meeting – who knows what exciting groups will be created next! Ideas for new groups are very welcome. The library also wants to publicize the many groups that already exist: movie night, book club, poetry on the patio and the award winning Sheep River Ramblers hiking and walking club.

To register, please call the Library @ 403-933-3278. Also, you don’t have to be a newcomer at all – just come out and mingle with friends! If you are new to the Diamond Valley area the library is located right on main street in Turner Valley, across from the post office.
