Announces Recipient of scholarship for advanced Veterans health research studies

OTTAWA – Tom Eagles, Dominion President of The Royal Canadian Legion, attended the fifth annual forum of the Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research (CIMVHR) which was held in Toronto, Ontario between 24 and 26 November 2014 where he also announced this year’s recipient of a Legion scholarship.
“The Legion is a proud member of CIMVHR and it is our intention to continue advocating for independent military and Veterans health research focusing on our unique demographic and operational experience,” says Eagles.
As part of this support, The Royal Canadian Legion is proud to award a scholarship in the amount of $30,000 for a Master’s level student specializing in Military and Veterans Health Research. “This year’s recipient is a former Reservist, Ms. Brigitte Nathalie Phinney, from Ottawa, Ontario.
