Leadership & Innovation in Lethbridge County

The Lethbridge Rural Innovation Forum aims to connect private industry, municipalities, researchers, and academia to address issues such as waste water, water conservation, water use, energy use, and biomaterials.

Hosted by Lethbridge County in collaboration with Alberta Agriculture and Forestry, the Agriculture Research Council, and Sustainability Resources Ltd. this session is an opportunity identify emerging projects that address greenhouse gas emissions, water reuse, and waste to energy. These types of projects have the potential to drive economic growth in the agricultural sector and provide innovative infrastructure solutions for communities.

Martin Ebel, economic development officer for Lethbridge County, says the value doesn’t just lie in the topics and speakers covered. “There will be provincial government experts and experts from private industry discussing current issues facing southern Alberta. A big component will be the opportunity for attendees to network and share ideas,” he says.

This forum will take place on September 25, 2015 from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm at the Agricultural Research Centre in Lethbridge, Alberta.
