On Sunday, September 21st Doug and Phyllis Lansdell will welcome everyone to their farm SW of Turner Valley to watch a traditional threshing bee. The equipment will be fired up around 1pm. All the equipment is antique and in working order; much of it from local homesteaders in the area. You may recognise Doug’s truck as it’s always in the Diamond Valley Parade to draw attention to the Rhubarb Festival every year.
If you have never witnessed the process of harvesting a crop, the way it used to be done, you will not want to miss this. Don’t forget the camera!
This will all depend on the weather so watch the skies before heading out.
