Kananaskis Country experiences a rash of Theft from Motor Vehicles

Kananaskis, Alberta – The Kananaskis RCMP have been investigating a large number of reports of theft from motor vehicles at the trail heads in Kananaskis Country.

The culprits are targeting vehicles that are parked over night. The windows are being smashed out and the vehicles contents are gone through.

Hardest hit areas have been Elbow Pass, Lantern Creek, and Interlakes day use area.

Police recommend not leaving any valuables in the vehicle, especially wallets and credit cards.

The Kananaskis RCMP continue to investigate these incidents
