“Eid al-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Muslims throughout Alberta and across the world will celebrate the end of the fast with a time of feasting.
“This Festival of Breaking the Fast begins with the sighting of the moon that signals the start of the month of Shawwal in the Islamic calendar.
“Eid al-Fitr can last up to three days, during which families and communities gather to pray, share their blessings with those less fortunate and feast together.
“On behalf of Wildrose, to all Albertans celebrating Eid al-Fitr, I extend my personal best wishes.”
