EDMONTON, AB (August 5, 2015): Today, Wildrose Leader Brian Jean launched a month-long, province-wide tour where he will be meeting with Albertans from all walks of life to receive their feedback and listen to their concerns about the state of the province.
Jean’s tour will comprise of central, northern, and southern Alberta legs to meet with Albertans in their communities. He will be visiting local businesses and attractions.
This week, the tour will make stops in Rimbey, Sundre, Rocky Mountain House, Sylvan Lake, Stettler, Olds, Three Hills and Drayton Valley.
“This tour is an important opportunity for me to meet with Albertans from across our beautiful province and hear their concerns on everything from the economy to health care,” Jean said. “Alberta is in a state of economic turmoil that is being further aggravated by the NDP government, and no one understands or can help solve these challenges better than the everyday Albertans who live them.”
On the eve of the first NDP budget, Jean predicted economic issues will be top of mind for many Alberta families and business owners.
“Whether it’s going on a debt stampede, reopening royalty reviews or hiking personal and business taxes, the NDP has severely damaged our economy by introducing a series of bad economic policies at a time when Alberta can least afford them,” Jean said. “This tour is an opportunity for Albertans to voice their concerns; concerns I will take directly to the legislature.”
