Jasper, Alberta – On Sunday, March 27, 2016 members of the Jasper RCMP detachment executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence located in Jasper, Alberta. As a result of the search, 34 ounces of cocaine and 4.6 grams of crystal meth were seized representing a street value of approximately $100,000. Police also seized $14,332 of Canadian currency.
Christopher Robert Field and Hillary Frances Key, both residents of Jasper, were arrested and charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime and possession of a controlled substance.
Robert Field was also charged with two counts of weapon/ammunition possession contrary to a prohibition order. He was remanded in custody following a bail hearing while Frances Key was released on conditions and $5000 cash bail. Both of them are scheduled to appear in court on April 14, 2016.
