If You Are Looking For Tax Information – There’s an App for That

Has my refund been processed? When are my benefit payment dates? How do I make a payment? How do I know which charities I can donate to?

CRA AppYou can find answers to these common questions and more using the Canada Revenue Agency’s new app for individuals, called MyCRA.

If you have a smartphone, you can have your tax information in the palm of your hand—no more digging through cabinets full of folders looking for your notice of assessment or searching through piles of papers to check when your next benefit payment comes in.

MyCRA is available as of February 9th. The app runs through your browser and can be saved as an icon and accessed directly from your home screen, as with any other app. You will have to login to view secure tax information.

The app will allow you to track your tax returns and refunds, view your notice of assessment, check your RRSP and TFSA contribution room, look up benefit payment dates, view charity information, make a payment, and more.
