Hunt for Alumni to Celebrate 50 Years of Special Alberta Camp

This summer will mark the 50th anniversary for Easter Seals Camp Horizon. In preparation for this special celebration we are requesting help in reaching alumni from the past 50 years.

Camp memories and stories last a lifetime. Thousands of Albertans have given their time, energy, and passion to make a difference in the lives of our campers with disabilities, special needs, and serious illnesses.

“Camp has meant the world to our campers for 50 years,” said Anna Garcia, Director of Operations at Easter Seals Camp Horizon. “We have truly seen lives transformed for not just our campers but for our staff and volunteers as well. To come together to celebrate will be so special.”

We are putting out a call to reach past campers, staff, and volunteers who can share their memories and photos of camp.

Easter Seals Camp Horizon was built in 1965 by the Kinsmen Club of Calgary. Since that time it has created life-long memories for over 100,000 Albertans with disabilities and special needs.

Camp is hosting a celebration on Saturday, June 20, 2015 to celebrate half a century of making lives brighter, and to look ahead at the next 50 years.
