Annual fundraiser exceeds expectations, raising over $90,000
Rowan House would like to take this opportunity to once again thank the Foothills community for its help in bringing hope to women and children affected by family violence.
Going into this year, our planning committee was hesitant to put on the Hope & Healing Gala, understanding the stress the economy was putting on those within our service community. However, the unfortunate reality is domestic violence cases remain prevalent and can even increase when families experience financial strains, so we decided to forge on.
“We are filled with gratitude for the support the community has shown us,” said Executive Director Sherrie Botten, adding that, after expenses, the event raised $93,000. “This was achieved through the dedicated volunteers who spent countless hours planning each detail of the evening, the local businesses that sponsored the event and donated items towards our auctions and of course the people who attended the evening and donated generously.”
